Professional Staff

Ann Wade, PT, CMPT

Ann has been in practice since 1980.   She has a Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy from Indiana University, and is a certified Manual Therapist through North American Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT).  Ann’s area of interests includes orthopedics for spine and extremities, manual therapy, abdominal visceral mobilization and women’s health for pelvic pain and incontinence.  In her free time she enjoys sculling with Olympia Area Rowing, hiking, biking and horseback riding.

Jeff Powney, PT, CYT

Jeff has been in practice since 1996.  He has a Bachelors degree in Genetics and received his  Physical Therapy training from University of Alberta.  He has an  interest in myofascial system and how it affects posture, breathing and movement.  He uses a variety of manual therapy techniques including myofascial release, craniosacral therapy and visceral mobilization.  In his free time he enjoys being in the outdoors, doing yoga, dancing and playing badminton.

Brad 2013Brad Payne, PT

Brad has been in practice since 1985.  He has a Bachelors degree from Wichita State University and received his Physical Therapy degree from the University of Kansas.  Brad is a certified Heart Math Practitioner and he blends heart coherence training into an eclectic manual therapy approach with an emphasis on trigger point work, acupressure, myofascial release, visceral mobilization and craniosacral therapy.  In his free time he enjoys gardening and landscaping, cycling, hiking and volunteer activities.

Missy has been in practice since 2005.  She received her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from California State University, Chico, and her entry level doctorate in physical therapy from USC.  Since 2011 she has been developing a practice in vestibular therapy.  She approaches each patient with a smile and LOTS of energy! In her free time she is kept on her toes by her 2 children and if she has a spare moment she enjoys reading, attempting to needlepoint and group fitness classes…she loves Body Combat!

Jennifer has been in practice since 1983.  She is a graduate of the University of Washington.  Her areas of interest include geriatrics, treatment of the spine, joint replacements with focus on mobility and balance, manual joint and soft tissue mobilization.  In her spare time she enjoys dance, skiing and family.

 

Andrew Byers, MSPT, Co-owner

Andrew has been practicing since 2002.  He has a Bachelors degree in Human Development with a minor in Biology and a Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Rhode Island.  His areas of interest are orthopedics, postural alignment, gait and running mechanics and working with soccer players and golfers.  In his free time you will find him running, biking, hiking, woodworking  and chasing his three children.  He can be reached at Andrew@steamboatpt.com.

Heidi Oksendahl-Byers, MSPT, Co-owner

Heidi has been practicing since 2001.  She has a Bachelors in Communications from Whitworth College and a Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Rhode Island.  Her areas of interest include research on the Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) from outcomes to rehabilitation and prevention,  general orthopedics, manual therapy,  balance, running and movement analysis.  In her free time Heidi enjoys running, hiking, camping, biking, coaching volleyball, swimming and trying to keep up with her three children.  She can be reached at heidi@steamboatpt.com.

Lynda S. Duval, Office Manager

Lynda is a graduate of the OTCC (now SPSCC) Medical Assistant Program.  She has worked in the physical therapy environment since 1979 and has been with Steamboat PT since 1996.  Lynda is the account manager with a multitude of administrative support duties such as quality assurance, compliance, provider credentialing and contracting.  She is a member of the Washington State Physical Therapy Managers Association and the National Notary Association.  In her free time she enjoys walking, gardening, quilting, traveling and family.

Sue Sutherland, Administrative Assistant

Sue is a graduate of the Medical Assistant Program at SPSCC, and specializes in essential patient services, which includes reception, appointment scheduling, billing and correspondence.  Sue has been with Steamboat PT since 2002.  In her free time Sue enjoys running and the gym.

                      Carol Rutledge, Administrative Assistant

Carol is a graduate of the Medical Assistant Program at Clover Park, and specializes in essential patient services, which includes reception and appointment scheduling.  She has worked in the medical field for many years and joined Steamboat PT in June 2015.  In her free time she enjoys kayaking, hiking and exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
